AUTUMN ACCENTS

AUTUMN ACCENTS | A SEASONAL STYLE GUIDE FOR MEN

AUTUMN ACCENTS

These last few months have been a whirlwind. Business trips, weekends in the country, friends getting married—sometimes all three at the same time. Summer is a lot of fun and more than a little crazy, which is why I think our light blue zigzags, pink and blue stripes, and lavender arrow socks fit the season to a tee. So much so that it’s hard to believe that it has already come and gone.

Now, I for one love autumn, and not just because of college football and spending cool nights enjoying whiskey by a fire. I really enjoy breaking out my classic grey and navy suits and being able to layer shirts, sweaters, and jackets. However, I know a lot of guys that are in denial that summer has come to an end and try to sport their linen suits well into November. For me, that’s a no-go, and I hope that our Signature Style Cards are helping you get out of your comfort zone as well.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s still room for color in your closet during the colder months. I mean, our upcoming styles include a navy and white polka dot, a hunter green stripe pattern, a four color multi-stripe sock, a royal purple pattern, and several other styles – so life isn’t all grey and black. The key is to find the right spots—no pun intended—to feature these colors.

That’s why socks become an even more important part of your wardrobe during this time of year. When you’re working a dark suit or sporting a pair of heavy chinos, the best way to break up the muted shades of fall is with your choice of socks and footwear.

Match colors and contrast patterns with your tie, shirt or even your pocket square, and you’ll pull together a look that’s seasonally appropriate while also showing off the fact that your individuality didn’t disappear with the patio parties and outdoor weddings.
