Quality In Every Thread
At Southern Scholar, we believe that today’s gentlemen shouldn’t have to settle for poor quality dress socks. That’s why we partner with the most experienced factories in the world, source only the best materials, and design everything in-house using classic color pallets and timeless designs. In fact, we’re so confident in our product that if they aren’t the best dress socks you’ve ever worn, we’ll give you your money back.
We’ve spent the last 3 years crafting the perfect blend of materials and utilizing the 200 Needle Count Knitting process to deliver you a truly superior product. We’re talking about a one-of-a-kind sock built specifically to stay in place throughout your workday and add a subtle sophistication to your everyday attire.
Quality in Every Thread
Our Signature Material Blend:
We start by blending the finest 32S/1 Polyester threads money can buy with Viscose Rayon fibers to provide an unparalleled level of comfort, fit, and durability. Next we add a touch of Nylon/Spandex to enhance the level of stretch our socks can achieve, ensuring they hold their place on your calf without constricting. The combination of these threads create a silk-like finish and beautifully vivid color that doesn’t fade after being washed or worn and are guaranteed to keep their shape and prevent drooping.
So, why aren’t our competitors using these materials?
It’s simple, cotton is cheap, easy to source, and universally known to consumers. In short, it’s the easy way out.
At Southern Scholar we take the road less traveled and use zero cotton in our socks. Every thread we use is strategically sourced, custom dyed, and knit to our specifications based on original designs we’ve created in-house here in Dallas, TX.
Why We Go The Extra Mile:
There are two ways to do things in life; the easy way and the right way. The right way takes time but there are clear advantages to the end product. Our materials are expensive and difficult to source. We custom dye every thread and sample each new design until it’s perfect. In our eyes, it’s a small price to pay to create the best dress socks money can buy.
